New to Gorge?
What is Gorge and how does it work?

Gorge is a street food marketplace. We connect you with local vendors so you can browse menus, order ahead, and pick up without waiting in line.

Flow: Browse vendors โ†’ Pick items โ†’ Pay securely โ†’ Get notified when ready โ†’ Pick up. No delivery fees, no tips, no service fees.
Do I need an account to order?

Yes โ€” a free account is required. This lets us send real-time updates and keep your order history. Takes under 60 seconds โ€” just your name, email, and password.
Is Gorge free to use?

Completely free. No service fees, no delivery fees, no hidden charges. You pay exactly what you see on the menu.
๐Ÿ’ก Unlike DoorDash or Uber Eats, Gorge never adds fees on top of your order.
Where is Gorge available?

Gorge launched in Los Angeles and is expanding to new cities. Check the map tab in the app to see all vendors near your location.
Placing and managing orders
How do I place an order?
+
  • Open the app at app.eatgorge.com
  • Browse vendors or use the map
  • Tap a vendor and browse their menu
  • Tap any item to see the full detail โ€” photo, description, quantity selector
  • Add to cart, go to checkout, and pay
  • Watch the live tracking page โ€” head over when you get the Ready notification
Can I add special instructions?

Yes โ€” tap any item to open it and you will see a Special instructions field. You can also add a general note at checkout. Vendors see these clearly.
Can I order from multiple vendors at once?
+
Currently each order goes to one vendor at a time. Adding items from a different vendor will prompt you to clear your cart first.
Can I cancel my order?
+
You can cancel before the vendor accepts. Once they start preparing, cancellation is not possible as food preparation has begun. Email us immediately with your order number.
How long does pickup take?

Most vendors prepare orders within 10โ€“20 minutes. You will get a notification when your food is ready. Head over after the notification for the freshest experience.
What if the vendor declines my order?

If a vendor declines, you will not be charged โ€” your payment is released immediately. Contact us if you were charged for a declined order.
Cards, fees, and security
What payment methods are accepted?

Gorge accepts:
  • Credit cards โ€” Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover
  • Debit cards
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Gorge never sees or stores your card details.
Are there any fees added to my order?

None. The price you see is exactly what you pay. No service fees, no tips required. Gorge makes money on the vendor side โ€” never from customers.
Is my payment information safe?

Yes โ€” 100%. Processed by Stripe, PCI DSS Level 1 compliant. Your details are encrypted and never touch Gorge's servers.

What is your refund policy?

  • Order declined โ€” full automatic refund
  • Wrong items โ€” full refund, contact us within 2 hours
  • Quality issue โ€” contact us with a photo, we will make it right
  • Did not pick up โ€” no refund as food was prepared
Contact us with your order number. Refunds take 5โ€“10 business days to appear.
Knowing when your food is ready
How does order tracking work?

After ordering you will see a live tracking page with three stages:
  • ๐ŸŸข Order placed โ€” sent to vendor
  • ๐Ÿณ Preparing โ€” vendor accepted and is cooking
  • โœ… Ready for pickup โ€” head over now!
Updates every 10 seconds automatically. You will also get a browser notification and sound alert when ready.
Where do I pick up my order?

The vendor's pickup location is shown on the checkout screen and tracking page. When you arrive, tell the vendor your name or show your order number.
What if the vendor never accepts my order?
+
If a vendor does not respond within a reasonable time, your order will be automatically cancelled and you will not be charged. Contact us if you have concerns about a pending order.
Managing your profile
How do I view my order history?

Tap the Orders tab at the bottom of the app. All past orders are listed with vendor, items, total, and status.
How do I reset my password?
+
On the sign-in screen tap Forgot password? and enter your email. Check your spam folder if you do not see the reset email. Still stuck? Contact us at hello@eatgorge.com
Is my information shared with vendors?

Vendors only see your first name and order details. Gorge never sells your personal information to any third party.
How do I delete my account?
+
Email us with "Delete my account" in the subject line. We will process your request within 5 business days. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Joining the platform
How do I join Gorge as a vendor?

  • Go to vendors.eatgorge.com and click Apply to join
  • Fill out your business information
  • Submit โ€” reviewed within 1โ€“3 business days
  • Once approved you will receive login credentials via email
  • Set up your profile, menu, location and you are live
๐Ÿ’ก There is no joining fee. Gorge only makes money when you do.
What are the requirements to join?

  • You sell food or beverages
  • Valid food handler permit or health card
  • You operate regularly (a few days per week minimum)
  • You can manage orders via a phone or tablet
We work with carts, trucks, pop-ups, market stalls, and street locations.
Is there any cost to join?

No upfront cost. Gorge is free to join. We only take a 10% platform fee on completed orders โ€” no monthly fees, no setup fees, no contracts.
How long does approval take?

Profile, menu, and location
How do I set up my menu?
+
In your portal go to My Menu:
  • Click + Add section (e.g. Food Items, Drinks)
  • Within each section click + Add item
  • Fill in name, price, description, photo URL, calories, tags
  • Toggle items on/off without deleting them
All changes go live on the customer app immediately.

How do I add photos to menu items?

  • Go to imgur.com (free)
  • Upload your photo
  • Right-click the image and select Copy image address
  • Paste the URL into the photo field in your portal
Use well-lit, horizontal food photos. Natural daylight works best.
How do I add my storefront cover photo?

Go to My Profile and find the Storefront cover photo section. Upload to imgur.com, copy the image URL, and paste it in. This photo appears as a banner on your vendor page and in the customer feed.
How do I set my hours and location?

Go to Location and Hours:
  • Location โ€” drag the map pin to your spot or tap Use my location
  • Hours โ€” set open/close times per day and toggle each day on/off
โš ๏ธ Update your pin daily if you move spots โ€” customers rely on the map to find you.
How do I temporarily close my store?
+
At the bottom left of your dashboard, toggle Store status to Closed. Customers can still see your profile but cannot place orders. Toggle back to Open when ready.
Receiving and fulfilling orders
How do I receive orders?
+
When a customer orders you will be notified via:
  • Sound alert โ€” plays every few seconds until you accept or decline
  • Browser notification โ€” pop-up on your device
  • Orders tab โ€” appears with a New badge
Keep the vendor portal open on your phone while operating.

What do I do when a new order comes in?

  • New order โ€” tap Accept order to start, or Decline if you cannot fulfill
  • Preparing โ€” cook the food, then tap Mark ready for pickup โ€” customer gets instant notification
  • Ready โ€” hand off food, tap Mark as collected
โš ๏ธ Accept or decline within 3โ€“5 minutes โ€” customers are waiting.
Where can I see my full order history?

Go to Orders in your portal. Filter by Active, All orders, Today, Completed, or Cancelled. Each order shows customer name, items, total, your earnings, and full timeline.
What if I cannot fulfill an order?
+
Tap Decline โ€” the customer is automatically refunded and notified. Minimize declines as they affect your visibility. Toggle your store to Closed proactively if you are running out of items.
How you get paid
How much does Gorge charge per order?
+
A 10% platform fee on each completed order. Example on a $20 order:
Customer pays$20.00
Gorge fee (10%)-$2.00
You earn$18.00
โœ… DoorDash and Uber Eats charge 15โ€“30%. Gorge's 10% is among the lowest in the industry.
How and when do I get paid?

Bi-weekly โ€” every other Friday โ€” directly to your connected bank account via Stripe. Connect your bank in the Financials tab. Once connected, payouts are fully automatic.
How do I connect my bank account?

Go to Financials and click Connect bank account via Stripe. Stripe's secure onboarding opens โ€” enter your info, verify identity, connect your bank. Gorge never sees your bank details.
๐Ÿ’ก You can receive orders before connecting โ€” we hold earnings until you are ready.
Where can I see my earnings?

Go to Financials in your portal. You will see total earned, this month's net, total orders, average order value, and a full transaction history with gross, fee, and net per order.

What makes a successful Gorge vendor?

How should I price items on Gorge?

Price at what you want to receive. Many vendors price 10% higher than their cash price to offset the fee. Example: a $4.00 taco priced at $4.40 on Gorge nets approximately $4.00 after the fee.
How do I promote my Gorge storefront?

  • Share your link on Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp
  • Tell your regulars โ€” ordering ahead helps you plan
  • Put up a sign: Order ahead on Gorge
  • Email us to receive a printable QR code linking to your storefront
